About The Cherokee Chorale...

he Cherokee Chorale is an auditioned 80-voice mixed choral group, encompassing a variety of ages, professions and occupations, including a significant number of music professionals. The members of this enthusiastic group are passionate about their love of singing and have a vital interest in promoting and providing good music for the area. They rehearse for 2 hours a week and present at least three concerts a year: a Christmas Concert, a Spring Concert in March, and a Pops Concert in May or June. Instrumentalists from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and other professional musicians from the community enhance the quality of the concerts with their accompaniment; and guest conductors, soloists, pianists, organists, and school choirs frequently perform with the chorale.

The states goal of the group is "to perform fine choral music in the most professional way possible." Since its beginning in 1987, the Chorale has advanced in technical skill and choral artistry. performing increasingly challenging literature and establishing a reputation for excellence and popularity.
